FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can ReDiant Protector H7 and Cleaner C5 be used in central heating systems with copper, aluminum, and other commonly used metals?
Yes! ReDiant products are specially designed for multi-metal central heating systems, and they are safe to use for systems composed of metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum, etc.
Are ReDiant Cleaner C5 and Protector H7 compatible with non-metallic materials most used in central heating system?
Yes! ReDiant products are tested, and according to the results they are safe to use with non-metallic materials such as rubber and other commonly used non-metallic materials in central heating systems.
Can I use ReDiant H7 in old systems?
Yes, you can. ReDiant H7 inhibitor is suitable for use in old systems. Before adding it to the system, it is necessary to clean the heating circuits with a cleaner. Circulate the cleaner for up to one week at normal heating conditions, flush it out, and repeat the flushing procedure until the water comes clean. Then you can dose the inhibitor ReDiant H7.
How much ReDiant Protector H7 is needed for an average system?
One bottle of 500 ml ReDiant Protector H7 will treat a typical system of sixteen single panel radiators – double panel radiators, count as two radiators, or up to 250 m2 of underfloor heating.
How can I ensure the recommended dosage of ReDiant H7 inhibitor?
You can use the express test “Molybdate test strips” distributed by ReDiant. It is easy to use, has quick determination, and is suitable for all molybdate-based inhibitors testing in water.
How does Molybdate test strips work?
The test strip will change colour after immersing in a water sample – the method is based on the colorimetric method, and depending on inhibitor concentration, the colour will differ. There are three main steps of the procedure: 1 – dip the test strip into water for one sec and remove; 2 – shake the excess water; 3 – compare to the colour chart on the vial within 10 sec.
Is ReDiant Cleaner C5 environmentally friendly?
Yes, Cleaner C5 has a neutral pH, and it is free of phosphate, nitrate, nitrate, EDTA, and borate compounds and is developed to exceed all regulatory and legislative guidelines regarding the environmental impact of the formulation.
How long can ReDiant Cleaner C5 be left in the system?
It is recommended to leave cleaner for at least 1 hour under normal heating conditions in new systems and up to one week in heavily contaminated systems. It might be necessary to repeat the cleaning procedure in heavily polluted central heating circuits.
Does ReDiant Cleaner C5 need to be flushed out of the system?
Yes, it must be flushed out from the heating system since it is unsuitable for long-term use. It would be best if you kept the recommendations. Only in exceptional cases could it be kept longer but only under supervision of a specialist.
